Where the Wild Things Are Announced

In conjunction with the release of the film from Spike Jonze, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced that a Where the Wild Things Are videogame will be available on Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and DS from November 2009.
In the game, players will assume the role of central character, Max as he explores the island of the Wild Things. Over the course of the story, players will team-up with the Wild Things – each with their own skills or talents- in order to work together to find a way to safety.
In the original children’s story, Max lands his boat on the island of the Wild Things and quickly befriends the creatures, becoming “King of All Wild Things.” When he learns that the island is on the brink of destruction, it’s up to him and the Wild Things to work together to find a way to escape to safety before it’s too late.
The game is being developed for the Wii, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 by Amaze Entertainment, and for the Nintendo DS by WayForward. It is expected to hit at the same time as the Warner Bros. movie of the same name.
