Past Fallout 3 DLC Coming to PlayStation 3; Two New DLC Announced

Once thought to be Games for Windows and Xbox 360 exclusive, Bethesda announced that its Fallout 3 downloadable add-ons will arrive on the PlayStation 3 this summer. Operation: Anchorage will be available on the PlayStation Network Store in late June, followed by the releases of The Pitt and Broken Steel in the weeks to follow.
Furthermore, Bethesda is developing two brand new DLCs for release across all three platforms:
Point Lookout
Explore a massive new swampland area filled with new quests and content.
Mothership Zeta
The aliens have returned, and they’re pissed. Experience an alien abduction first hand and find out if you’re tough enough to survive.
Point Lookout will be available this June on the PC and Xbox 360 for 800 MSP. After the three aforementioned past DLCs make their way onto PlayStation Network, Point Lookout shall follow.
Mothership Zeta, meanwhile, is scheduled for a July release on Games for Windows Live and Xbox Live, costing 800 MSP. It will be released on the PlayStation 3 after Point Lookout.
New Fallout 3 bundles will hit retail in the not-so-distant future. The “Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #1″ for PC or Xbox 360 includes Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt on a disc starting May 26. The “Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #2,” also PC and Xbox 360 exclusive, comes with Broken Steel and Point Lookout on disc, and releases in August.
According to Bethesda, retail versions of the add-ons aren’t possible for the PlayStation 3 and DLC content can only be purchased via the PlayStation Network.
Finally, a “Fallout 3 Game of the Year” edition is scheduled to arrive at retail his October, almost a full year after the original’s release. For $59.99 for the Xbox 360 version or PlayStation 3 version or $49.99 for the PC version, players earn the original game plus all five add-ons.
