Peter Molyneux took some time to show off Fable 2 at E3 and to announce that the game “is finished” and will be shipping in October. During his presentation, Fable 2’s co-op feature was demonstrated following a brief introduction showing how the player starts out as an adventurous child in the world of Albion.

Fable 2’s co-op would allow the player to see other friends playing the game via glowing orbs that would roughly display where they were in Albion. By touching one of these “Albion orbs”, the player could invite them into their game and have them immediately join without the need to leave the game via a lobby system or other similar convention.

Peter Molyneux goes on to explain that the look of your avatar within Fable 2 and how far you may have advanced the story will remain unique to the player allowing them to share their vision of the world with friends whether it is crushed beneath their iron shod heel or covered in fields of bloom enhanced flowers.
