Rapturians Top 2.2m; BioShock 3 May Coincide With Film Release

At its investor conference call today, Take-Two Interactive announced that BioShock has sold through over 2.2 million units, including both Xbox 360 and PC sales, since its debut in late August of last year.

It also reminded the audience that the PlayStation 3 iteration of the game will be arriving this fall and that a film based on the game is also in the works at Universal Pictures.

And speaking of that BioShock movie, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick went on to audaciously claim during the Q&A session that a third BioShock game may be released around the time that the film hits the silver screen.

What I really want to know about is the theme park ride. Now there’s a great idea.
