No Demos For Fallout 3, Gears of War 2

Eurogamer is reporting that there will be no demo for Fallout 3, due out later this year, while Epic recently told Shacknews that gamers won’t have the chance to try out Gears of War 2 before it launches in November.
“When you build it as one thing, there’s no way to portion off a section and have it stand on its own without putting the whole game in the demo, which we’re just not going to do,” said Bethesda’s Pete Hines of Fallout 3.
He continued in an interview with Kieron Gillen, “and it doesn’t really capture the fun of a game like an Elder Scrolls or a Fallout, where you can go where you want and do what you want. So no demo, sorry.”
As for the second battle against the Locust, “[There are] no plans for a demo,” associate producer Tanya Jessen told Shacknews. “The reason being that it’s been such a fast turnaround. A two year production cycle, for a game of this caliber, is really short.”
Fallout 3 will be appearing on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, while Gears of War 2 is currently an Xbox 360-exclusive.
