Call of Duty 4 Map Pack Sets DLC Sales Record

Over a million people have downloaded the ‘Variety Map Pack’ for Call of Duty 4 off of the Xbox Live Marketplace, Activision said in a statement today.

The DLC, which goes for 800 MS points ($10) and includes four new multiplayer areas, broke the record for paid Xbox Live downloadable content when it was downloaded a million times in just 9 short days after it’s release.

“Infinity Ward is extremely grateful for support from our loyal Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare community around the world,” said Robert Bowling, community relations manager at Infinity Ward. “From the beginning, we were committed to do our best and that continues now with the Variety Map Pack. We can’t wait to get back online with everyone.”

The map pack is currently scheduled to hit the PlayStation Store on April 24.
