IGN reports that Activision has announced the development of Spider Man: Web of Shadows for the “Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, Nintendo DS, Wii and PC”. An official teaser has also been released on Yahoo along with two pieces of art.

The official website for the game has also gone up revealing that Activision studios Treyarch (Ultimate Spider Man, Spider Man 2) and Shaba Games (Tony Hawk’s Project 8 ) are teaming up to bring a spandex stretching experience where the player will be able to decide what spidey powers to upgrade, who to battle it out with, allies to fight alongside of, and how to go about saving New York City from an unknown invader that seems to have a penchant for black tentacles and a habit for covering cities in white goo.

Although details are scarce, a ticker on the official page is counting down asking fans to stay tuned until then.
