A new studio has sprung up in Copenhagen, founded by former IO Interactive execs and the creators of the Hitman franchise.

Reto-Moto, as the development house is called, hopes to “redefine the online multi-player space.”

The Reto-Moto management team thus far includes the four IO Interactive cofounders, Jacob Andersen, David Guldbrandsen, Jesper Vorsholt Jørgensen, and Martin Pollas, and former Eidos executive producer Neil Donnell.

“We’ve seen the interactive online market develop significantly in the last 5 years. Fresh from the global success of ‘Hitman’ we think our new company Reto-Moto is well placed to capture commercial and creative advantage ‘ says Guldbrandsen, who has assumed the role of Chief Technology Officer.

“It’s imperative for any successful games developing company in today’s market to have a leadership team with proven talent and track record. After 10 years working together at IO we know we have both,’ added Donnell, now CEO of the studio.

No details on the team’s first project were provided.
