Activision Shows How Customer Service is Done: Free Guitar Faceplates

Free Guitar Hero Faceplate

Activision, you have a new fan.

Despite the mono-track screw up with the Wii version of Guitar Hero and the fact that it shouldn’t have happened in the first place, you’ve gone above and beyond. Now only did I get my remastered disc two days after you received it, but you also surprised me with a FedEx shipment of a Guitar Hero guitar faceplate for free!

Included with the faceplate was this note:

Dear Valued Actvision/RedOctane Customer,

You recently received a Guitar Hero III Legends of Rock Wii replacement disc. To show our apprecation for your patience during the re-mastering and manufacturing phase of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for the Wii, enclosed is a complementary Guitar Hero faceplate from Activision/RedOctane.

If you have any questions or need any additional support regarding the re-mastering Wii disc, please don’t hesitate to contact Activision Customer Support at www.activision.com/support. Once again, thank you for supporting Guitar Hero.

Sincerely,

Activision/RedOctane

Other companies, take note. If you want to keep your customers happy, then you need to do things like this. Activision’s future titles have earned my hard-earned money. And the fact that this wasn’t announced publicly is also major kudos on their part. Keep up the good work, Activision.
