The follow-up to last year’s impressive FPS/RPG hybrid S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl is set to be released worldwide on August 29, GSC Game World revealed in a press release today.

“Our intention to deliver the game simultaneously worldwide is both a challenge and big responsibility to the many fans of the game around the globe. We are looking forward to achieve this ambitious goal in August,” said Sergiy Grygorovych, CEO of GSC World Publishing.

Clear Sky is actually a prequel to the first title, set in the year 2011, and precedes the story of Strelok and his third campaign in the Zone.

As we previously reported, the game will be released both at retail and on STEAM.
