According to the latest edition of Spain’s Official PlayStation Magazine, Grand Theft Auto IV will support up to 16 players online in 15 different gameplay modes.
Online multiplayer will be accessible through Niko’s cell phone, where plays can then opt to create their own game or join a preexisting server. The various modes encompass a number of team and solo based game types, all set within the same maps that make up the single-player portion of the game. Players will also be able to customize the sex, race, hair, and clothes of their unique in-game character.

Grand Theft Auto IV will be released for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on April 29, 2008.
