House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return Gets Extreme

House of the Dead Extreme Mode

If you’ve been as hungry for House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return for the Wii as I have, then you’ve been absorbing every tidbit of information you could about the game. You’ll be happy to know that there is now an all new level of action exclusive to the Wii game called Extreme Mode.

After beating The House of the Dead 2 and The House of the Dead III, players can enter Extreme Mode, a special single player mode in House of the Dead III. Enemies attack faster and the bullet radius shrinks, making the action even more frenetic than before. Players also get a new melee attack as well as a faster reloading shotgun.

Taking a cue from Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, players can attack enemies who get within melee range by pressing the A button, unleashing a powerful attack on several enemies at once. The melee attack can also be used to block enemy attacks, missile weapons, and boss attacks. However, the attack requires the player to reload after each use, so choose wisely.

The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return is set to release in March and supports the Wii Zapper. Time to polish up the trusty pistols.
