A record number of attendees turned out for this year’s Game Developer conference. 18,000 developers, journalists, and businessfolk flooded the Moscone for a week, up from 16,000 last year.

The show was home to 400 sessions and 300 exhibitor booths.

GDC 2009 will run from March 23 to 27 next year, again at the Moscone in San Francisco, and is currently rumored to be invite-only.
