Dead Space Sneaking Up On You October 31

The first title in EA’s new deep space survival franchise, Dead Space, is set to go into orbit on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 31. This date is for both North American and European retailers.

“Survival horror is about experiencing a terrifying, and deeply personal fiction,” said the game’s Executive Producer at EA Redwood, Glen Schofield.

“Dead Space is being developed as a single-player thriller that delivers the chilling, claustrophobic feeling of being isolated in a dark environment, while being stalked by some truly horrific enemies. Halloween is the perfect time for EA to deliver the fear and anxiety that will keep survival horror fans up playing all night.”

The release date for the PC version of the game has not yet been dated.

Update: 2:30 PM Wednesday 2/27

EA has confirmed to Eurogamer that the PC version will be out on October 31 as well.
