Bethesda Softworks, responsible for titles such as The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and the highly anticipated Fallout 3, sends word that it has established a European publishing arm.

The new European subsidiary has been dubbed ZeniMax Europe and will publish games throughout UK and EMEA territories under the Bethesda Softworks label.

“This is an important step for us as we look to expand our presence in markets outside of North America,” said ZeniMax CEO Robert Altman. “We want to establish direct relationships with retailers and distributors throughout Europe and the UK.”

One of the subsidiary’s first titles will be Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic action-RPG Fallout 3, which is expected to hit both North America and Europe sometime this fall.
