Satin Silver Playstation 3 Coming to Japan

Sony have announced a new color for the Playstation 3 to complement the black and white models already available in Japan. A “Satin Silver” unit will go on sale in the country on March 6 for the sum of ¥39,980 ($372 USD). The PS3 itself is a standard 40GB console.

Unfortunately, the bundled controller is a silver SIXAXIS, as opposed to the DualShock 3 which was released in Japan last year and added rumble to PS3’s feature list.

Sony have also revealed plans to release a new Playstation 3 bundle comprised of a Satin Silver console and Ryu ga Gotoku Kenzan.
