
Mercenaries 2: World in Flames was originally on track for a late 2007 release, when developer Pandemic announced the game was being pushed back until early 2008.
EA took it upon themselves to reveal that the game’s release date has been set back again, until sometime in fiscal 2009 (or essentially calendar 2008).
“We wanted to time it more closely to the movie,” Pandemic co-founder and president Josh Resnick said when the game was delayed for the first time back in September. “But then we realized that we don’t have a movie, so we just said, ‘Aww hell, let’s just make the game better.’ “
