New TF2 Maps Free For Console Gamers

By Skyler Sutter on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 4:10 PM EST

Eurogamer recently got the chance to talk with Valve’s marketing director Doug Lombardi, and he had some good things to say. He revealed that the new Team Fortress 2 maps, previously announced for the PC only, will be coming in the form of downloadable content packs to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 at no cost.

No release date was mentioned, but given the fact that a remake of Team Fortress Classic’s ctf_well has already been released on the PC (with two more maps coming next month), you can probably expect them relatively soon.

In the interview, Lombardi also promised gamers more of their surprise-hit puzzle game, Portal. “There’ll be more Portal, for sure. But the details of that, to be honest, we’re still working out,” he said.

Tim.. Doug means that the 360 and the PS3 are both getting the content free ^_^ Even If you have to pay for the 360 version.. It won’t matter because I have a PS3. And Sony’s not cheap like Microsoft =D
