Undertow Offered As Free XBLA Game

Microsoft has finally revealed details of the free Xbox Live Arcade game that was promised in response to the Xbox Live’s recent online troubles.

Starting next Wednesday, January 23rd at 2AM PST, the underwater side-scrolling shooter Undertow will be free to download for all Xbox Live members. The offer will last through Sunday, January 27th, until 11:59PM PST.

“If you have already purchased the game, you can contact support and they will take care of you,” wrote Xbox Live programming director Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb. Xbox customer support can be reached by calling 1-800-4MY-XBOX.

Undertow normally sells for 800 MS Points ($10). The deal will be offered to both Gold and Silver subscribers.
