Next Generation is reporting rumors that the inevitable sequel to 2K’s surprise hit BioShock might actually be a prequel. The game will reportedly tell the story of how the fictitious underwater city of Rapture fell before the events of the first game.

2K’s response? “We have nothing to announce at all.” Right. This all makes way too much sense.
