CD Projekt’s long-awaited hack-and-slash RPG The Witcher has finally gone gold and will be in North American and European stores at the end of October, exclusively on Windows.
“The Witcher transcends traditional fantasy role-playing by throwing players into a unique fantasy world rife with modern social issues where the line between good and evil is blurred and every decision can have profound consequences. Based on the fictional world created by best-selling Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher casts the player as Geralt, a legendary monster slayer and master swordfighter with supernatural abilities and reflexes.”
It’s worth noting that the European release will feature more explicit content than the one shipping stateside. Many American gamers have already made it clear their intention to import European copies for themselves.
We hope to bring you our final critique soon.
