Back in August 2007, Codemaster’s popular MMO Archlord became completely free to the public. Since then the game’s player base has increased over 600 percent. To celebrate, Codemasters has released a new server containing an entirely new world, Evengarda. The new server gives players a chance to start over in an entirely new setting. And to kick it all off, Codemasters have also announced a week long Treasure Hunt event to take place within the new world.

Adam McGowan, Codemaster’s Product Marketing Manager, had this to say,

“This hugely popular MMO is currently going from strength to strength since going 100% free-to-play in August 2007. We are incredibly pleased to see the recent surge of new players entering the game and we look forward to growing the game service further with yet more new game content coming online in the forthcoming months.”

Archlord might just be worth giving a whirl if you haven’t already.
