
It was a pretty hot week for demos, with NBA 2K8, Viva Pinata: Party Animals, and Sega Rally Revo all released on the XBL Marketplace. And if you’re one of those pesky PS3 owners, we’ve got you covered with the demo for EA’s skate, along with Stuntman Ignition, NBA 2K8 and Sega Rally Revo, as well.
Speaking of demos, much to the dismay of those with powerhouse PCs, the Crysis Demo has been pushed back to October 25 in order to make sure it’s up to par for all of us. On the bright side, they will be releasing the sandbox game editor along with it.
Tokyo Games Show 2007 kicked off on Thursday. I guess we should have announced that one a bit sooner! But barrels and barrels of news and media are coming out of the convention halls. Word is the line for Metal Gear Solid 4 was pretty long. Who’d have imagined that?
Speaking of TGS, I guess a few people at the EA booth noticed the controllers started rumbling and vibrating during the demo of Burnout Paradise. Expect the DualShock 3 controller next year. We can always appreciate when a company brings back an old favorite.
Final Fantasy Advent Children was announced to be headed to Blu-ray. But in addition to just a plain old transfer, they’re included a few new and extended scenes that should help with the storyline a bit. Most notably though, the fight scenes have been re-rendered with added dirt and muck. If ever you had a gripe about the pristine bunch being a bit too clean cut, well, this one is apparently for you.
Those looking forward to Super Smash Bros. Brawl are rejoicing heavily with the announcement of online gameplay. You can play against your comrades via use of friends code or just randomly battle other players. Unfortunately they won’t be hearing our world-renowned trash talk until a microphone is announced.
Hellgate: London open beta signups started… We know, you’re excited. It’s okay. We are too.
