RedOctane Announces Wireless Guitar Bundles for Guitar Hero III

Speculation on the state of wireless guitar controllers for the upcoming release of Guitar Hero III has been in flux until today; RedOctane announced that all bundles of the game with controller for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii will include wireless controllers. This was further confirmed by the release of the game’s box art, shown below. Note the ‘New Wireless Guitar’ label on the front of each box.
The game bundle will retail for $99.99 for the PS3 and 360 version, and $89.99 for the PS2 and Wii versions.

Those that already have their PS2 or 360 Guitar Hero II controllers will still be able to use these in Guitar Hero III. These wired controllers can also be purchased separately for $39.99 or $59.99, respectively. The game alone will cost $49.99 and $59.99, respectively, making the wireless bundles a much better detail for the first-time Guitar Hero buyer.
PC and Mac users can expect to have access to wired USB-enabled guitars for the Guitar Hero III release to these platforms.
The game is expected for release next month.
