TGS 07: Burnout Paradise Detailed
EA outlined some unique details for its newest entry in the Burnout racing series, the upcoming Burnout Paradise for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The entire game world, Paradise City, will be open to the player from the start, giving the driver the opportunity to explore the entire immersive environment as soon as he pops the disc in. Players can initiate the game’s multiple game modes, including Race, Marked Man, Road Rage, and Stunt, by simply pulling up to any of the numerous stoplights scattered throughout the city.
The PlayStation 3 version will be one of the first games to make use of the newly unveiled Dualshock 3 controller, while the PS3-exclusive “EasyDrive” functionality allows you to race against online buddies with a mere three button presses. Now that’s convenience!
Finally, catch a glimpse of your friends’ frustration as you breeze past them in the final lap thanks to the ‘Mugshot’ candid snapshot feature, courtesy of either their Playstation Eye or Xbox LIVE Vision cameras.
