Plunder & Pre-Boarding Party for Pre-Ordering Pirates

Sony’s Pirates of the Burning Seas, an MMORPG set in the New World of the 18th century, has announced a treasure chest of booty for those that pre-order the game, starting October 23 in the US with a European Pre-Order date to be announced shortly. The cache includes the following:
- Access to the game 15 days early for a “Pre-Boarding Party.†Players will get to keep their characters, skills and equipment after launch with purchase of game and paid subscription, though there will be a level cap of 20 during this time.
- A pet (as can be seen in trailer on the official site): Captain’s Best Friend – a blue and yellow macaw
- A special weapon (Swedish Rapier, Old World Steel or Musketeer’s Matching Blades) depending on what fighting style is chosen for the character
- And the Original Game Soundtrack CD will be in the Pre-Order Box, featuring 60 minutes of themed music
More information is promised on the official site, however at the time of press there was no listing of participating retailers nor information on if pre-ordering online will be an option.
