GC07: Sierra Gets WET

Sierra and Canadian developer A2M are hoping to create an action-game heroine as iconic as Ms. Croft with their newly announced WET. Rubi, as she’s called, is a nimble mercenary who will gleefully bound about the game’s levels, set among three continents, slicing, beating, shooting, and blowing up anyone silly enough to stand in her path.

“The mix of guns, acrobatics and swords in the midst of non-stop action will undoubtedly ensure Rubi takes the title as the most exciting heroine ever in video games,” said Martin Tremblay president of Worldwide Studios, Sierra Entertainment. “WET is an exciting addition to Sierra Entertainment’s original games portfolio.”

All this sort of reminds us of Bloodrayne, which wasn’t quite as terrible as some might have lead you to believe, so we’re cautiously optimistic.

You’ll be getting WET on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2008. Screenshots soon.
