Wii FIFA 08
EA’s FIFA 08 will be the first Wii game that requires three controllers for each player; one strapped to his head and one to each of his feet…

Alright, while that’s not true whatsoever, you have to admit, it does sound like it’d be pretty awesome, albeit slightly dangerous for those living in small apartments.

FIFA 08 for the Wii will contain two distinct game modes: the traditional full soccer matches you’ve become accustomed to in past FIFA titles (with over 570 teams from 20 nations to choose from), and the Wii exclusive “Footii Party” starring the game’s cover player, Ronaldinho, as a bubble-headed Mii. Yeah.

The main game mode will include a Football Academy tutorial system that will get the player acquainted with the “revolutionary” FreeMotion control scheme, which is promised to “level the playing field for all players and turns FIFA 08 on Wii into a physical, social activity.” EA says you’ll “Mesmerize defenders with authentic individual skill and play like a real football player. Now you pass, shoot, and perform trick moves all with a flick of the wrist.”

Footii Party will include multiplayer mini-games, like Table Football and Shoot Off, designed as a “social experience designed to engage and entertain fans of all ages!”

FIFA 08 will also be available on all current-gen, last-gen, and mobile platforms. You’ll be screaming “GOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL” sometime this fall.
